Since 1991, Scott and Meleese Kilpatrick trading as Affordable Quality Homes, have been helping Central Queenslanders realise their dreams. Well over 1200 homes in the area stand strong and provide security and a quality lifestyle thanks to the team at AQH.

As a debt free company, Affordable Quality Homes will do everything they can to use their size, experience, stability and resources to provide the best price and quality on an ‘apples for apples’ basis.

Affordable Quality Homes has it’s own designs, but also has licence to use the plans for the highly popular Coral Homes and GW Homes. In all, we can offer you hundreds of plans to choose from, or we can build to your own unique design that you need to suit your individual lifestyle needs.

Employing well over 100 specialist trades personnel and a number of administration and sales staff, Affordable Quality Homes currently builds homes along the Capricorn Coast, in and around Rockhampton, Mt Morgan, Gracemere and districts. At any one time, the company has more than 50 families and investors in the process of building and empowering their future.

Meet the people behind the name

Scott and Meleese are very happily married with six children. As founders and Directors, Scott and Meleese Kilpatrick are accessible to you for any assistance you may need through the building process. Scott oversees the whole process of your home being built while Meleese primarily looks after the accounts. Their priority is to develop long term, honourable relationships with people just like you! After so many years in the industry and having built well over 1200 Affordable Quality Homes, Scott and Meleese have the expertise, knowledge and resources to help you realise your dream.

Craig Kelly is a qualified and experienced Builder and carpenter, Craig is our Housing Specialist and will enthusiastically and competently assist you with your enquiries. Craig has been working with Scott for longer than the company has existed and they make a great team!

Lorraine is our Office Manager and Professional Colour Coordinator. From help with your selections, to the ordering, through to the finalising of your variations, she is available to help make your building journey smooth. Lorraine is also Office Manager, supervising and contributing to office processes.

Monica is the ‘Scott’s Personal Assistant (The one who really gets the job done) and After Sales Service Manager’. She spends her days in data entry, filing, office duties and general office assistance, as well as after sales service.

Redmond Lorraway is our Residential Draftsman and is based at the 80 Springfield Dr. display home with Craig. Redmond is the only Draftsman in CQ that specialises in lowset slab on ground brick veneer construction, and is fully qualified to design and certify your home for energy efficiency.
